Rai Saheb Charitable Trust

The foundation stone of everything that follows. Rai Saheb Pannalal Hiralal Lahoti — Managing Director of the Mahboob Shahi Kulbarga Mills and a leading industrialist of the former Hyderabad State — directed that one-fourth of his estate be set aside, in perpetuity, for hospitals and educational institutions.

The trust remains active in education and medical philanthropy across the region. Much of the list of twenty institutions traces back to it, most visibly the Lahoti Eye Centre at the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute.

Krishnakriti Foundation

Founded in memory of Shri Krishnachandra B. Lahoti, widening the family’s philanthropy from education and medicine into the world of art and culture. It supports more than fifty students each year, and is the organising body behind the Krishnakriti Festival — held every January since 2004, free and open to all.

Franco-Indian Education Trust

A joint initiative with the Embassy of France, unveiled during the French state visit to India in 2018 — a bilateral platform for educational mobility across every discipline. It grew directly from the cultural work that led to Prshant Lahoti’s appointment as Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2012.
