Rather than direct them from afar, the Lahotis endowed land and funds to local bodies, so that each institution would belong to the community it served. Twenty of them stand across five regions of the old Hyderabad State, and many still carry the family name.

The oldest law college in the Hyderabad–Karnataka region, established by Ramesh Chandra Lahoti in memory of his father. Its foundation stone was laid by V. V. Giri, later President of India.
Gulbarga→One of Gulbarga’s foremost institutions of higher learning, founded in the nationalist spirit under the Nizam’s regime and supported by the family’s philanthropy. The earliest institution on this list.
Gulbarga→Formerly the HKE Society. The family’s donations helped bring modern legal, engineering and medical education to the region, through the PDA College of Engineering and the Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College.
Gulbarga→An early-childhood and education institution established by the family in Gulbarga, carrying the name of Rampyaribai Lahoti.
Gulbarga→A prominent technical institution offering diploma and engineering education, giving Marathwada its first generations of professional engineers. Named for the family’s Member of Parliament.
Latur→Eight institutions across arts, science, commerce, law, pharmacy, architecture and interior design. Raja Narayanlal Lahoti was among the founding figures; its Golden Jubilee was attended by the then President of India.
Latur→Founded under the Shri Marwadi Rajasthan Shikshan Sanstha and named for the Latur merchant and patron; today among the town’s most established schools.

Nanded & Hingoli→Established with the support of the Raisaheb Pannalalji Hiralalji Lahoti Trust. Comprehensive outpatient and diagnostic services across cataract, cornea, glaucoma, retina, paediatric eye care, oculoplasty and contact lenses.
Hyderabad→One of the most significant private repositories devoted to the visual history of the Indian subcontinent — rare maps, early photographs, prints, illustrated books and albums, lent to museums and scholars worldwide.
Hyderabad→The only South Indian institution offering degree programmes through the medium of Hindi, across arts, science, commerce and management.
Hyderabad→Marking a hundred years in 2026, a longstanding Secunderabad institution supporting Hindi-medium education across five generations.
